Protege DIN Rail
16 Input Opto-Isolated Expander
PRT-ISO16-DIN
The Protege DIN Rail 16 Input Opto-Isolated Expander provides the interface of up to 16 low or high voltage signals to the Protege system. The Input Expander provides extensive hardware advancements that allow flexible programming and configuration, and is designed for use with industry standard DIN Rail mounting.
- 16 opto-isolated inputs capable of handling high voltage DC and AC signals
- 2 state zone alarm providing alarm and closed conditions
- Connect any combination of normally closed or normally open inputs
- 4 50mA (Max) open collector outputs
Features
Connectivity and System Expansion
Extending the Protege system with local inputs and outputs allows convenient, cost-effective expansion with the following additional benefits:
- 16 opto-isolated inputs capable of a large voltage range, ideal for use in lift control or automation installs
- 4 multiple function outputs for use in any programmable output entry, ideal for connection in an electrical switch room to control signage, lighting and building automation or system indicators
- Address configuration is achieved using the address programming feature of the Protege System Controller
Power Supply
Device power is supplied from a 12VDC input. Ultra low current requirements ensure cost-effective power distribution.
Communication
A single RS-485 communication interface port used for all network communication functions and interconnection to other modules.
LED Indicators
The input expander features comprehensive diagnostic indicators that can aid in diagnosing faults and conditions. LED indicators on the input expander include:
- Status indicator
- Fault indicator
- Power indicator
- Output indicators
- Input indicators
Upgradable Firmware
Utilizing the latest flash technology and high performance communication mediums, the firmware can be updated via the Protege interface.
