The Story
For ABC, the move to ICT wasn't just about replacing locks—it was about building a smarter, safer future for their growing campus. Here's how the partnership between ABC, Imperial Surveillance, and ICT came together.
A Growing Campus, Pressing Problems
The ABC Illinois Chapter had been expanding rapidly, adding new classrooms, training bays, and workshop areas to meet growing demand. But with growth came a growing problem: their traditional key system was struggling to keep up.
"We had a key system, but it wasn't meeting our needs," says Alicia Martin. Keys were easily lost, difficult to track, and offered no visibility into who was accessing the building or when. With high foot traffic from students, instructors, and staff, they needed a modern, flexible solution.
The Move to Keyless Security
ABC turned to their trusted integration partner, Imperial Surveillance, who recommended ICT's Protege GX platform. The solution was tailored to ABC's specific needs—multi-class readers that support fobs, cards, and Bluetooth mobile credentials, giving staff flexibility in how they access the building.
The system also enabled time-and-attendance tracking, so ABC could monitor entry patterns and improve scheduling and reporting.
A Seamless, Stress-Free Upgrade
One of ABC's biggest concerns was disruption. With active training programs and daily operations, they couldn't afford downtime. Imperial Surveillance managed the installation smoothly, working around ABC's schedule and ensuring everything was tested before going live.
"It worked perfectly right from the start," says Martin. "And the team was always just a phone call away if we needed anything."
